Malaysian Flag

composed of 14 strips representing the former states (before 1965). On the crescent moon (Hilal) symbolizing the last crescent moon that marks the end of Ramadan. One star, symbol of the five pillars of Islam: the profession of faith, prayer, zakat (poor support), fasting and pilgrimage to Mecca.

- State: The Malaysian King is Abdul Alim Muadzam Shah, and Malaysia is composed of 11 states including 9 sultanates.

 - Religions: Sunni Islam Orthodox rite Shafi (state religion), which is the state religion since 1988. However, because of the ethnic diversity present in Malaysia (Malay community, Chinese, Indian), there are also Buddhists, Taoists, Christians and Hindus.

- Population: More than 28 million of inhabitants 

- Area: 330 803 square meters

- Petronas Tower (symbolf Kuala-Lumpur, and of Malaysia): also known as the Twin Towers, Built in 1998 after seven years of work. They were, from the top of their 452 meters, for a few years, the highest in the world and are still the tallest twin towers.
